Future of fresher jobs in IT.
IT jobs for freshers are still a dream.
People are talking about layoffs and seeking job referrals. We can witness a lot of experienced people seeking job offers at job sites and LinkedIn. Few are talking and worried about the recession too.
This recession prediction started two years back and still, they are expecting 🙂 they will keep on talking about this recession even for 10 years till it comes, and they will cheer that we already predicted.
Economic growth is always up and down. But if you see it in a long timeline, it is always up. The same thing is applied to the job market too.
What the freshers interested in IT careers need to do?
Always stay away from these pessimistic people and rumors.
As time changes, situations and requirements also change. We have to make ourselves ready for current market demand and expectations.
People with big fat salaries, never update themselves, not ready to come to the office, and not delivering desired results are being laid off.
There is a takeaway for freshers from these layoffs.
If there is no work for you in your company, it is the first alarm for you.
If the same work can be done by another person with lesser experience at half of your salary, it would be a warning to you.
Due to COVID lockdown, freshers’ exposures are limited, and they are lagging in communication, basic technical knowledge.
Freshers need to consider the following points:
- Improve your official communication skills
- Enhance your dressing sense, common sense, basic behavior, and positive attitude.
- Be strong in any technology and at the same time, have at least basic knowledge in other supporting technologies.
- Be a team worker
- Be flexible and energetic
- Don’t give priority to the salary in your first job; rather than give priority to learning and updating your knowledge and scope to grow.
- Concentrate on building a career rather than getting a job.
- Equip yourself technically and be clear about what you can deliver to the company?
- Companies are recruiting freshers in Java and testing majorly. Learn and practice more in those technologies. Practical knowledge is important.
- It is not a mobile phone or fancy dress. It is about your career. So don’t rely on the latest technology like AI, ML, AWS, Data science, etc. Openings are available in those technologies only for experienced professionals. Be strong in Java and testing first and then later you can move on to the latest technologies.
